Your First Visit
Here at One Spine Chiropractic, we specialize in treating low back pain. During your first visit, we’re going to have a consultation and perform a detailed exam.
During your consultation, I want to hear more from you as a patient. What caused your low back pain? Was it a recent injury? Is it an old injury that never went away, or is it something you’ve been living with for years?
A Detailed Exam
Next, we move on to our detailed exam. During this time, we’re going to perform a range-of-motion assessment, orthopedic tests, and a neurological exam.
We want to make sure that we get to the root cause of your problems. We want to figure out what tissues are being affected. Is it a tight muscle? Is it a joint issue? Is it a nerve impingement or possible discogenic pain?
Digital X-Rays
Based on those findings, we will move on to the X-ray. With our digital X-rays, we’re able to see your body structurally. I can see any structural abnormalities that might be contributing to your pain, and I can see how severe they may be.
It also helps us dictate which treatments are a better fit for you.
Chiropractic Adjustments
As chiropractors, we’re known for treating the subluxation. This is when two or more joints are restricted and aren’t able to move as well as they could be.
This will increase pain levels, increase inflammation, and also decrease the range of motion in that area. We want to make sure we clear those subluxations so that your body is better able to move.
Decompression Therapy
On top of chiropractic adjustments, we specialize here at One Spine in decompression therapy. This helps hydrate the disc area between your two vertebrae so that we’re able to take pressure off the nerve roots and alleviate any pain you may be having in your low back or pain shooting down your legs.
If this sounds like something that might benefit you, please visit our website and book your next appointment.
